The Indian Conservatory of Paris (Conservatoire Indien de Paris), located in the heart of Paris, was founded by Bhavana Pradyumna and Pradyumna Kandadai to strengthen cultural ties between India and France. Committed to artistic collaboration, the Conservatory creates a vibrant platform for the exchange of music, dance, and other cultural expressions, with a particular focus on Indian Carnatic music.
ICParis has been at the forefront of promoting Indian arts in Europe through its Carnatic music and Veena classes, Indian traditional music and dance festivals, and opportunities for touring artists. In 2024, the Conservatory proudly represented Indian culture at the Paris 2024 Olympic Fan Zone, presenting over 250 artistic expressions and receiving widespread recognition. This remarkable achievement was honored by Hon. Prime Minister of India Sri. Narendra Modi, who praised ICParis’s contribution to cultural diplomacy and its role in fostering Indo-French relations.
Furthering its commitment to education, ICParis achieved a major milestone with the historic signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tamil Nadu University of Music and Fine Arts. This partnership offers certified courses in Indian classical music and dance, enhancing opportunities for students in Europe to gain official qualifications from a prestigious institution.
Expanding into diverse fields, ICParis organizes events, collaborates with global universities, publishes educational books, produces engaging doodle videos, and offers free courses that promote ancient Indian knowledge. Recognized by major media outlets, embassies, universities, and cultural organizations, ICParis continues to grow organically with the mission of promoting Indian culture across new boundaries.
